Simple digital tool for oil painting
Set of features to keep you focussed on what matters most - the creative process.
Interaction-based brush behavior
Two brush types - Sobol and Hog - each a faithful digital replica of their physical counterparts. With over 80 finely tuned parameters, these brushes respond precisely to your actions, providing a realistic painting experience.
Velocity
The amount of paint the brush lays down adjusts based on how quickly you move it across the canvas.
Press
The pressure applied to the brush affects the thickness and opacity of the stroke, allowing for nuanced and dynamic brushwork.
Direction
The angle and movement direction of the brush impact the flow of paint, giving you control over the texture and style of your strokes.
Lifelike pigment properties
In Glaze, you paint with a digital version of real oil paint. Our historical pigments have been first studied in real life by a team of scientists, then transferred to a digital version with physical properties faithfully reproduced.
Actual paint dilution instead of opacity
Dilute the paint to bring out a broad spectrum of shades from the pigment.
True optical color mixing
Experience the authentic color mixing across the layers of a painting.
Varying paint coverage and textures
Dilute the paint to achieve the desired level of coverage - from impasto to glaze.
Ancillary features for wholesome process
As in a real painting workshop, you have access to additional tools allowing you to fully experience the painting process.
Chalk
Chalk allows you to sketch, but it also provides various interactions with wet paint.
Rag
You have access to a cloth that allows you to remove paint while it's still wet.
Canvas
Two types of canvases allow for different experiences using the same set of tools.
Timer
Dry the paint layer. In reality, the paint stays on the canvas after it dries, which is why Glaze intentionally does not support the "undo" function.
Paint like masters and never undo
Glaze as real painting process is easy to learn, but hard to master. To support you on your artistic journey, we have prepared a series of tutorials and "how to ... " series.
Recognized by Industry & Educators
Glaze received numerous awards recognizing its innovative approach to digital art, alongside prestigious certifications that affirm our commitment to quality and educational excellence.
